2009-08-20 [Trennas]: @ Jitter, all our dykes (you may LOL) and dams are meant to keep the water OUT, not IN. Now we still have lots of water and swimming pools, but be that as it may, in the summer the fresh water lakes and ponds contain poisonous algae and the pools stupid and annoying.. foreigners.. and they contain way too much chloride. That leaves just about two options: get an inflatable kiddy pool in the backyard or go to the beach. But since entire Holland has that same problem, the beaches are totally full as soon as there is just one ray of summer sunlight! The place where we will be going (in the north of holland) is at a saltwater lake that is connected to the North Sea. Hopefully, it attracts a lot less people XD

It's not something I would even bother to recommend to other Steampunk fans, and there's no reason for anyone who's not interested in Steampunk to read it at all. I'd been looking forward to reading it for a while, so I was quite disappointed. However, I read a great book earlier this year called Mortal Engines which is also Steampunk, it's a kids' book, but it's still very good, I'd recommend that over The Affinity bridge any day. <_< *fleeeeeeeeeees*
